Kids Mindfulness
Card Decks.
Two decks. One child. One window that won't stay open.
The formative window
Find where your child is right now.
They are exactly this age once.
That is the whole urgency.
The window between 5 and 11 is when a child's inner world is most actively shaped by the people around them. After that the window doesn't close — but it narrows.
"What do I do that makes you feel really loved?"
I made these decks because I kept noticing the same thing, parents who love their children deeply, running out of moments to say the things that actually matter. And children carrying feelings they had no words for.
These aren't tools for perfect parenting. They're just a door. One card. One morning. One question asked honestly. That's the whole practice.
Mini Moments.
Little affirmations. Big feelings. One card at a time.40 affirmations designed to give children a daily language for how they feel. Honest and grounded — cards a child can hold and actually believe. One card at breakfast is enough to start.
In This Little Life.
Gentle words for big feelings.40 questions your child asks you — and the answer you give becomes part of how they understand themselves. Pull a card in the car, at bedtime, or whenever a moment opens. No ritual required. Just honesty.
How to use them
Simple enough to
actually do.
Before phones, before school talk. Read it together or let your child read it alone.
Nobody has to make eye contact. Pull a card before you leave. The real answers come easier this way.
When a child is soft and open just before sleep. This is when the questions land deepest.
Children know when they're being given the safe version. Give them the real one.
What families say
The moments that stayed.
My seven-year-old asks for a card every morning now. She calls it her 'feeling check.' I didn't teach her that — the deck did.
M.L. · Mom of two · Vancouver Mini MomentsThe question cards made me realise how rarely I say the things I actually feel about my kids. The conversations from one card are ones I'll remember forever.
R.K. · Dad · Calgary In This Little LifeI bought both as gifts and kept them for us. Turns out adults need them just as much as kids do.

This morning.
You don't need to overhaul anything. Just one card and a child in front of you.
